If living on board, cruising the coast or sailing offshore appeals to you, why not give sail cruising a go? Cruising yachts have accommodation and cooking facilities, offering a degree of comfort whilst spending time afloat. How far you venture is up to you.

As this is a beginners course, no previous yachting experience is required for taking part in this course. You sleep on board, so bring your sleeping bag and a pillowcase.

The RYA Start Yachting courses provides a short introduction to sail cruising for novices. By the end of the weekend, you will have experienced steering a yacht, sail handling, ropework, rules of the road, man overboard recovery, clothing and equipment, emergency equipment and precautions, meteorology.

Zeezeilschool Scheveningen is a Certified RYA Training Center. RYA qualifications are known and respected the world over. We work constantly to ensure that the highest standards are maintained. There's a maximum student to instructor ratio of five, so you're allways ensured of personal guidance during all practical courses.
