The Yachtmaster Certificate is a worldwide Certificate
that enables you to sail anywhere in the world,
rent yachts and skipper charter boats.
WHY YACHTMASTER?
Certificates
are becoming increasingly important in the international
world of sailing. Charter companies liabilities
become heavier as more people explore exotic and
far away waters that are far free from risks. Insurance
companies demand more and proven experience from
skippers on charter-, rental yachts. This tendency
is noticeable as professional and semi-professional
charter skippers enhance their position by obtaining
internationally recognized certificates.
Yacht master is such a certificate. Not only does
it display your level as a sailor, it is also a
sailing document which is recognized throughout
the world.
RYA COMPETENT
CREW In
5 days
After
you've taken the 2 days "Start Yachting Practical"
and you are still longing for more we offer the
upgrade to RYA competent crew level
in just 5 days. We will train you in basic seamanship
and helmsmanship so you will be able to steer a
boat in almost every situation.
We will also learn you the basic skils of navigation
and meteo as we go along. And at the end of the
week you will be a usefull crewmember wanted by
a lot of skippers.
The conduct of your
course is maximized in de following way:

will be provided with all the right books
- Sailing
exercises in real practice
- Professional
presentations on all relevant subjects
- Working
in small groups
- Bilangual
instructor (explanations made easier)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
To the course and the exam it is required to
have the following minimum level of experience:
Applicants also
need the following skills:
- a good knowlegde of the English language
IN- AND EXCLUDED
Excluded are costs of books and course materials,
obtaining the required VHF licence and First Aid
Certificate, harbour and mooring fees and costs
of food and drinks during the examination-trip.
You are advised to purchase a copy of the Reeds
Macmillan Almanac, dividers, portlandplotter, maps,
and sufficient sailing gear.
